Paint protection film is a clear, flexible layer bonded to your paint and cut to the shape of each panel. Fitted properly you should not notice it is there. The point is simple: the film takes the damage instead of the paint. A stone off the motorway hits film. A trolley catches film. The paint underneath stays as it left the factory, and that is what holds the car’s value.
A coating is different. It is a chemical layer that adds gloss and makes the car easier to clean. It will not stop a stone chip. Most owners who care about both fit film on the front end and coat the rest.
These keep your paint exactly as it looks now, just protected. All three are self-healing. The difference is how much punishment they shrug off and how deep the gloss sits.
For a new or high-value car you want kept factory-fresh.
The most protective film in the range, with the deepest gloss. If the car is new, expensive, or you would rather not think about paint again for years, this is the one to fit.
For daily drivers that still cover motorway miles.
Self-healing gloss film on a softer, more forgiving material that wraps complex bumper shapes cleanly. The sensible middle choice, and the one we fit most often.

The straightforward gloss film. Usually fitted as a front-end kit - bonnet, bumper, mirrors and headlights - which is where nearly all stone damage lands.
Where the clear gloss films keep your paint as it is, these either take more of a beating or deliberately change how the car looks.
For hard-worked cars and rough roads.
A thicker, stretchier film built for punishment. The extra elasticity lets it wrap deep curves without lifting, and the added thickness absorbs bigger impacts.
For turning gloss paint matte, while protecting it.
Changes the look of the car and protects it in one step. Forms cleanly over curved panels, so it suits modern bodywork. A popular choice on dark colours.
For blacked-out details or a stealth look.
A black film used where you want a darker finish rather than the factory colour. Ask us which panels it suits on your car, and we will show you samples before anything is cut.
A hard, glass-like layer bonded to your clear coat. Dirt struggles to stick, water beads and runs off, and the colour looks deeper. Washing gets quicker and safer - but it is not armour, and it will not stop a stone chip.
The same idea on your windows. Rain beads and blows off the screen as you drive, so you reach for the wipers less, and oncoming headlights glare less at night. Most owners notice this one in the first proper downpour.
